Please fill out Section 1: Registrant Information. It is the only required section.

*If you wish, you may also register for one or more of the Texas Medical Association Social Events in block D of Section 2 (for these, the specific event fee would have to be payed to the Texas Medical Association). 

 

Continuing Medical Education

Applications for Continuing Medical Education and Maintenance of Certification credit will be filed once the agenda becomes final.

  • American Airlines Tour - Saturday, May 3rd, 2014 (Evening). We have been invited to enjoy a tour of the American Airlines Flight Academy, located at 4601 Hwy 360, Fort Worth, TX 76155. This is a free event and families are welcome to join.  We as that you register here if you plan on taking part in the tour so we can provide AA with an accurate number of guests to expect. Information on the tour as provided by American Airlines is as follows:

AMERICAN AIRLINES FLIGHT ACADEMY

Located just south and adjacent to DFW Airport in North Texas is the AA Flight Academy, one of the largest Aircrew Training and Flight Operations Centers in the world.  From this singular location the world's largest airline trains nearly 15000 pilots, and manages the operation of over 5000 flights daily.  Some important particulars: 

-  FLIGHT SIMULATORS.  A vast array of Full Motion Flight Simulators on site, where ALL aspects of flying can be demonstrated and trained representing every Aircraft American Airlines operates.  Pilots become fully qualified and maintain proficiency on a regular basis in these SIMs, including landing proficiency.  Depending on scheduling these may be viewed, but since 9/11 Homeland Security restricts actual operation other then Official Business

-  INTEGRATED OPERATIONS CONTROL (IOC).  From this singular facility ALL aspects of the day-to-day operations of American Airlines and American Eagle are managed.  Crews, various Servicing Ques, Flight Planning, Weather are all managed here.  A brief tour is planned unless a random weather event occurs preventing that tour.

- EMERGENCY PROCEDURES TRAINERS (EPT).  Here Flight Crews are trained on the various passenger related aspects of daily operations.  Used primarily by Cabin Crews for specific Training Events such as Cabin Emergencies and Evacuations, a walking tour is planned of this facility. 

Depending on weather and access to IOC, anticipate a tour length of one to one and a half hours.
