Enrolling in and maintaining public health care coverage has been hampered by language barriers, trust issues, and a cumbersome process. As a result, in spite of diligent outreach efforts and enrollment assistance, we know many individuals and families still do not have health insurance. This includes, but is not limited to, immigrants and refugees, people with disabilities, people of color, and low-income and working-class individuals and families.

At this event, a panel of service providers working to increase health care coverage will share successful approaches to outreach, challenges to overcome, and how new health care coverage laws have changed how they offer enrollment assistance. Participants will help "crowd source" emerging promising practices, challenges to overcome, and possible connections to improve outreach and enrollment activities.
