AFP Double Programming Session:

How to Build a Sponsorship Proposal the Works (9:00 - 11:00 am)

This session will focus on how to take the knowledge you have about your organization or event and apply it to custom building proposals for sponsors that will sell. If you or your organization are tired of getting rejections or have a closing ratio of less than 75%, this is a must attend workshop. This workshop will provide a general learning and understanding of how to successfully deliver a much higher closing rate than you presently have. You will leave the workshop with new ideas, creative approaches and systems and formats to building custom proposals for prospects that will ensure a higher closing ratio for you and greater bottom line revenue success. The session will also review the past year in regards to sponsorship and clearly differentiate between sponsorship and philanthropy. We will also review the two top Canadian industry studies on what is changing in the sponsorship industry and what has remained the same and provide insight and direction for how to shape your organization going forward to generate incremental revenue through corporate sponsorship.

The Perfect Pitch (1:00 - 3:00 pm)

This session is 2 hours of sellers pitching, sponsors spending AND audience/delegate participation. This unique format will create a mock "pitch and buy" session!

On one side, the sellers will be properties ranging from small non-profits to Arts, Health and Sporting Events. Each presenter will have "five minutes" to present their case and pitch why a sponsor should invest in their property. The properties have the flexibility to target all or any one of the prospective sponsors.

Once all of the sellers have pitched, the buyers will get involved. Each of these industry leading professionals will decide how they will spend the $100,000 mock budget they have to allocate!

Once all of the industry leaders (sellers and buyers) have had their say, the floor is open to delegates for an opportunity to ask any panel member questions, make comments or gain further details.
