Indianapolis Chapter CSI May Meeting:

Brick Masonry for School Construction

Please Note: This month's meeting will be held at the Willows on Westfield (formerly Riverwalk Banquet Center). Please take a moment to register for this meeting, if you plan on attending.

You design schools all the time. What benefits do brick bring to a school project? This presentation will include information about why the building envelope is a key characteristic of how the school is accepted by the community. Various brick masonry wall systems will be described and what works best for schools. Common wall selection materials will be covered and how brick fits within those project requirements. High performance school requirements will be discussed as well. This evening program will offer 1 AIA learning unit.

This presentation will conclude the all day masonry learning event that will be sponsored by the Midwest Masonry Council, AIA Indiana, and CSI Indianpolis. This all day event will be held at the Hagerman Construction Office, 10315 Allisonville Road, Fishers, IN from 10am - 4pm on May 15. It is a great opportunity to earn 5 AIA HSW learning units during the day and an additional 1 AIA learning unit at the evening program at the Willows on Westfield.
