Shining Stars: Celebrating Commitment to Quality 

"Shining Stars: Celebrating Commitment to Quality" is hosted by HealthInsight New Mexico to recognize participants and partners in our organization's quality improvement activities over the past three years. Providers from nursing homes, hospitals, pharmacy, outpatient clinics, and community efforts around care transitions and coordination will be celebrated for their efforts. Please join us on Friday, July 11, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Albuquerque Marriott Pyramid North. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.

We welcome keynote speaker Jim Belshaw, career journalist/columnist for the Albuquerque Journal. Mr. Belshaw will speak about co-authoring a book with Steven Hsi, MD, and Beth Corbin-Hsi, Closing the Chart, a story based on the personal journals and experiences of Dr. Hsi and his five-year journey through progressive illness and untimely death in his 40s, as well as Jim’s own recent experience as a patient in the health care system. 

We will also share project and partner achievements, as well as recognize successes and best practices in our local health care communities. A number of storyboards will be hosted, reflecting the great work done by our participating providers in various settings of care across New Mexico.
