"A Bird's Eye View of North Carolina's Coast"

Wednesday, May 13, 2015
7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Fred and Alice Stanback Coastal Education Center
Wrightsville Beach Historic Square

Enjoy a presentation by Walker Golder, Deputy Director for Audubon North Carolina, as he shares his world class wildlife photography and his experiences with Audubon and as a fishing guide. Golder is a native North Carolinian, who has devoted his career to the protection of all birds, and particularly coastal birds, in the state of North Carolina and across the Atlantic Flyway. In 2013, he received the National Audubon Society’s Charles H. Callison Award for his efforts to safeguard the piping plover on Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

The event is FREE for federation members and a suggested $10 donation for nonmembers. You can register for this event online below or in-person at the Coastal Education Center. Donations can be made in-person at the Coastal Education Center on the night of the event or in advance. All proceeds will benefit the federation's education programming.

Visit the Fred and Alice Stanback Coastal Education Center in Wrightsville Beach throughout the year to hear marvelous speakers bring to life their coastal experiences, tour the center, and experience the beauty of the coast through our Coastal Adventures series. You can find out more and register for any event online at www.nccoast.org or in-person at the Center. For more information contact Rebecca Peter at rebeccap@nccoast.org or call 910.509.2838.
