LEANING IN FOR SOMEONE ELSE: MEANINGFUL MENTORING

Very few achieve positions of leadership or career success without support and championship from those who have gone before us.  It is often noted that true leaders – those who are invested in the success of others around them - lift as they climb.  For women, finding a good mentor can sometimes be challenging.  Offering effective and meaningful mentorship can be equally so.  Helen Kearns is a highly accomplished Bay Street woman in finance who has been the recipient and beneficiary of exceptional  mentorship, and who herself has served as a thoughtful and effective mentor to many exceptional leaders.  Come join us in a special evening with Helen - to hear her insights, advice and to share her stories of support.

About Helen:

Helen M. Kearns is a leader in capital markets in Canada with more than 30 years experience as a senior
executive and entrepreneur in the investment industry and corporate director.

She was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Bell Kearns & Associates Ltd. in February
2008.   Bell Kearns & Associates provides extensive investment advisory services to families, corporations, estates and foundations on total portfolio management.

Previously Helen was President of NASDAQ Canada (2001-2004), and an officer of NASDAQ Inc., the world’s
largest electronic stock market.  From 1980-1995, Helen worked at Richardson Greenshields of Canada Limited, where she was Head of Institutional Sales and Trading, a role that also included senior management responsibilities on the Executive Committee.

Among Helen’s many honours and awards, she was recognized by the Financial Post as one of the 100 most
Powerful Women in Canada (2004).
