This advanced course addresses many of the more complex elements in compressor design, installation, and operation. The first part of this course is focused on the key design concepts that are necessary to avoid resonance and dynamic related problems. The second part of the course is focused on field troubleshooting issues
The course is primarily focused on reciprocating compressors, but vibration/reliability issues relating to centrifugal and screw compressors will also be included.
Content and Approach
A large number of case studies are used throughout the course. A hands-on demonstration will be used to illustrate some of the concepts.
Topics and case studies cover:
Who Should Attend
It is recommended that attendees are familiar with reciprocating and centrifugal compressors. This can include rotating, facility and design engineers, field maintenance, EPCs, Packagers, OEMs, and other related fields. Some advanced vibration and acoustic concepts are covered.
