Workforce & Equipment Development
Presented by the WV Food and Farm Coalition Meat Working Group and its partners, the Value Chain Cluster (VC2) Initiative,
Swift Level and the Natural Capital Investment Fund, this unique training event for West Virginia’s niche meat businesses will focus on strategies for developing a knowledgeable staff and sourcing quality equipment and service.
Featured presenters will be the founding GM of Alleghany Meats, Chris Fuller of Fuller Consulting, and Bill Wulfensburger, CEO of MTS Equipment.
In the morning session, Chris will share workforce development best practices and lead a workshop for writing an employee manual that promotes productivity and profitability in the meat workplace.
In the afternoon, he’ll team up with Winchester-based MTS Equipment for a showcase of equipment, and a demonstration.
Chris has worked in the food sector for 15 years, is a member of the Butcher's Guild, and is dedicated to adovating for humane handling, quality cutting and an ethic of stewardship.
