Melanie Prager, J.D., C.P.E., is Summit Center's parent educator and the founder and director of Enlightened Parenting. She has been teaching parenting skills for over a decade and is a speaker at local and national conferences. She is the mother of three children, including twins. She is dedicated to educating others with the same parenting tools that she and her husband consistently apply -- to make parenting easier, more effective, and more enjoyable. Melanie says the tools she uses -- and now teaches -- are “the biggest gift I have ever given myself and my family." Melanie is a wealth of knowledge, and has been certified in numerous parenting programs, including Positive Discipline; Redirecting Children's Behavior; and Supporting the Emotional Needs of the Gifted (SENG). Having twice-exceptional children she is well versed in the areas of gifted and 2e learners. Previously, Melanie was a district attorney in Los Angeles County and co-director of Empowered Parenting.
