NC ASHI Home Inspector Winter Education Conference

NC ASHI 2016 Winter Conference

The new license year is upon us. Now is the time to get your continuing education credits taken care of and NOT wait until the last minute. North Carolina American Society of Home Inspectors is holding it's Winter Conference January 8th and 9th in Winston-Salem.

We will be providing 12 hours of education to satisfy the required CE's for North Carolina (that includes the 4 hour mandatory class) license renewal. In addition, these 12 hours will be available to be applied to your ASHI renewal CE's.

Decks Course Summary   A good deck inspection is more than looking for bolts and connectors. This session uses numerous illustrations and pictures to help you understand current deck construction and inspection best practices, and to help you identify and report common deck deficiencies.  Decks are involved in more injuries than any other part of the home. This session will help you avoid being the inspector of the home where a deck related injury occurs.

Gas Course Summary   Helps relieve that queasy feeling you sometimes get when inspecting gas appliances and their associated components, especially those new direct vented appliances. Learn how to identify and report defects involving combustion air, gas vents, chimneys, clearances to combustible materials, and gas piping and delivery systems.  You’ll also learn some fun facts about gas and combustion.  Illustrations and pictures will help you visualize defects and audience participation will be encouraged to help you learn and retain the information.

Home Inspection is a Business Summary As a businessperson, you operate in a legal and regulatory environment that places requirements on how you conduct your inspections and how you deal with your clients. Failure to understand these requirements can mean “Game Over” for your business, and possibly your family’s financial security. This class helps you understand how this legal and regulatory system works, and the requirements placed on your business. It will also present some methods and procedures to help you deal with these requirements.
