12:00pm-5pm                       Registration. City Hall.

1:00pm-2:00pm                       Guided tour of FL Capitol                      400 S Monroe St, Tallahassee, FL 32301

3:30pm-5:00pm                   Orientation and training seminar with the  LWVF Legislative Liaison.                    The Tallahassee Room, City Hall.

6:00pm-9:00pm                       Evening Banquet, DoubleTree Hotel.

Wednesday, February 17:

7:30am-11:15am                               Meeting with Legislators in FL  Cabinet  Meeting  Room. Lower Level, FL  Capitol.

11:30am                                     LWVF Press Conference.                  Steps of Historic Capitol.

12:00pm-4:00pm                   Individual Meetings with Legislators and  observing the House and Senate in  Session. (Note: individuals must arrange  their own appointments with legislators).

The LWVF's annual Legislative Summit brings members from across the state to Tallahassee to meet with and advocate before state legislators. The League works hard to ensure that our strong and unique voice is heard. This two-day conference takes place during the Legislative Session and includes an orientation program, seminars on League positions, face-to-face meetings with legislators, a tour of the Capitol, and other engaging and informative activities.

Our banquet at the DoubleTree on Tuesday brings us together to wine and dine, celebrate our successes, and assess our legislative challenges. The League's Gala Reception is held on Wednesday evening at the Historic Capitol, Senate Chamber. Legislative leaders come to address our membership and impart words of wisdom on issues championed by the League.

Members of the LWVF local leagues across the state gather at the FL Capitol to make their voices heard on the issue of Closing The Gap in healthcare coverage, as part of the Legislative Summit.

If you have any dietary restrictions, such as being vegetarian, please email Mr. Adrian Chamberlin at LWVFevents@gmail.com. The League of Women Voters of Florida is happy to accomodate our members' needs, and vegetarian options will be available at the LWVF Banquet and Gala Reception.

Registration Fees:

 

All-inclusive registration for the Summit's seminars, meetings, Gala, and Banquet is available at the low price of just $125 per person (same price as last year!).

If you have a guest wanting to attend the League Banquet only, their admission is $35.

If you have a guest wanting to attend the Historic Capitol Gala only, their admission is $30.

  Cancellation information

Except in the case of medical emergencies, the League will not be able to refund any payments due to obligations with caterers and other conference vendors.  If any guest needs to cancel due to medical emergencies, please say so in writing via email to Mr. Adrian Chamberlin at LWVFevents@gmail.com.
