Amy Butler's Ya Salam Exotic Adventure!

Marrakech, Morocco

 

Join Amy and David Butler and creative guru Val Wells for an exciting expedition exploring Marrakesh and all of its exotic inspirations! Our week together will be filled with creative workshops mixed with day trips that take us to fascinating, colorful locals! We’ll scour the souks, visit historic sites in Marrakesh and have a full day in the Atlas Mountains taking in the natural beauty and touring a rural Berber village. Our home base is the gorgeous Peacock Pavilions www.peacockpavilions.com. Many of our meals and events will take place at the Pavilions including our creative workshop sessions. You are in for a treat!

Here are some of the activities we have planned:

* Several workshops covering a variety of creative projects led by Amy, Dave and Val. Workshop project samples and specifics will be shared prior to the trip.

* Explore historic sites and the exotic and colorful Souks in Marrakech.

* Experience a dinner in Marrakech and belly dancing performances.

* Explore the Atlas Mountain and take an optional Mule ride to Berber villages with mint tea in a Berber House.

* Spa treatments and a traditional Moroccan Hammam at Les Bains des Marrakech

* Roof top henna party

* An evening wine tasting and delicious meals at the Peacock Pavilions

* Entertainment at the Peacock Pavilions including a performance by local fire dancers and an outdoor cinema experience

Once you have registered for your week we’ll follow up with a more detailed itinerary with workshop descriptions and a small supply list. And as our trip approaches, we’ll send you helpful information to prepare you for your adventure.

Accommodations:

All rooms at the Peacock Pavilions are double occupancy. Single Occupancy rooms are available offsite at another beautiful neighboring Kasbah for the same price as those at the Peacock Pavilions. Both will be based on a first come, first serve request. Your occupancy request will not be confirmed until you receive a follow-up email.   

Payment Information:

The total cost to attend the Ya Salam Adventure is $3,500. This price includes everything except airfare, alcohol, spending money and tips to staff.

A non-refundable deposit of $1,000 is required to hold your spot. The remaining balance is due in two separate payments of $1,250. One is due on June 1, 2016 and the second on September 1, 2016. If you would like, a different payment schedule may be arranged.

Terms & Conditions:

Workshops will cover a wide variety of creative exercises led by Amy, Dave and Val. There will be a small supply list for the week. Project samples and specifics will be shared with you well in advance of the trip.

Please be sure to check your calendar before you sign up for the Ya Salam Exotic Getaway. A $1000.00 cancellation charge will be applied to all refunds requested prior to October 5, 2016 due to transaction costs and administrative fees. For cancellations after October 5th, we will issue a full credit for a future workshop less the $1000.00 deposit.

Once your registration is confirmed you'll receive a full itinerary and waiver. Please note we must receive your signed waiver for you to be fully registered. The signed waiver must be received within 7 days of receipt.

Please note, we reserve the right to postpone or cancel this workshop offering up to six weeks in advance of the trip if in the unlikely event we do not have enough registrants, or less in the case of an act of God. If we have to cancel the workshop you will be refunded all workshop fees less administrative fees. Travel Insurance is recommended.

Participants therefore understand, acknowledge and agree that if she/he fails to pay the remaining $2500 due on the above-described dates, the initial deposit of $1000 shall be forfeited.

There are only 12 spots available for this exciting opportunity. They will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis with receipt of deposit used as the determining factor of registration. Once we have received your registration and deposit, you are in agreement with all the terms and conditions listed above.
