Over the course of ten rounds, participants will be paired with each mentor for approximately five minutes to introduce themselves and discuss their professional goals and experiences.

5:35 pm - Speed mentoring starts

6:40 pm - Reception - light appetizers and cash bar

About Speed Mentoring: The purpose of speed mentoring is to provide a quick hit of information in the form of a discussion highlighting your mentoring strengths and professional challenges. Speed networking is an efficient way to rapidly build your professional network and is a methodical way to “try-on” a number of mentoring relationships to see which one you might want to pursue later.

Each mentor will meet with two participants for five to six minutes, getting to know each other and discussing your professional strengths and challenges. Bring your business cards so that you can make them available to other participants and so you can exchange cards before moving on to your next mentor.

As a mentee, be prepared to have questions ready! Below are some sample questions to ask the mentors.

• If you could only give one piece of job hunting advice, what would it be?

• What was instrumental for you in landing your first professional job?

• What soft skills should I develop or seek experience in? (or technical or professional skills; adapt as appropriate)

• How can I improve my professional visibility?

• What suggestions do you have based on my career field and goals?

• Can you recommend two more people I should talk to?

Capacity is limited to 20 participants so REGISTER TODAY!
