2016 Southwest Gun Skills Challenge

No matter what gun you carry or what caliber you load, in a self-defense situation your safety comes down to your gun handling skills. Now you can test and improve your shooting mastery at the 2016 Southwest Gun Skills Challenge!

Reservations are limited to 40 shooters and will be accepted on a strict first come, first serve basis. This event will fill up FAST! Our last event filled in less than 2 hours!

Bring your handgun, 300 rounds of ammo, and shoot, shoot, shoot!

If you've attended any of our other shoots, you'll have an idea how much fun the Gun Skills Challenge will be. The difference is that we've designed this special event to be more relaxed with more opportunity for shooting tips from experienced shooters.

With smaller groups and fast-moving exercises, you'll have plenty of range time to put lead downrange! Plus, because the club is compact, you'll spend less time walking and more time shooting!

You'll have a chance to polish your basic gun handling skills and go through IDPA-style scenario shoots simulating real-life self-defense situations.

No pressure. It's a friendly, fun shoot. Whether you're a skilled shooter or a novice, the exercises and scenarios will give you a full day of skill-building experience. If you want more of a challenge, you can ask the range officers to score your targets.

Schedule of Events:
8:30-9:00    Registration
9:00-9:30    Opening remarks and instructions
9:30-12:00 Gun handling tips & live fire skills and drills
12:00-1:00 Catered lunch and ammo demonstration (we'll be shooting water jugs)
1:00-4:00    Shoot four IDPA stages
4:00-4:30     Wrap up and final remarks

Remember, there are only 40 spots available. When these are filled, this event will close. Proceeds benefit Buckeye Firearms Association.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS: For most of our events, you may cancel and receive a refund (less a $10 processing fee) up to 3 weeks before an event. No refunds within 3 weeks of an event.
