JUMP Annual Dinner 2016

featuring

Gen. Robert B. Neller

37th Commandant of the Marine Corps

at the

Army and Navy Club

Please join us for the Japan-U.S. Military Program (JUMP) Annual Dinner on March 3, 2016 at the Army and Navy Club on Farragut Square, Washington, DC.  The theme for the dinner will be the future of the U.S.-Japan Alliance.  Our speakers will be Commandant of the Marine Corps, General Robert Neller, and Admiral Dennis Blair, former Director of National Intelligence and Commander of Pacific Command.  Japan’s Ambassador to the United States, Kenichiro Sasae, will also be in attendance.

The U.S.-Japan Alliance has an admirable past and a bright future, but it will require sustained effort to live up to its potential and manage emerging challenges in the decades ahead. The next 15 years will be one of the most testing times in the entire history of the Alliance.  This requires strategies for economic growth and engagement, but also unmistakable resolve with respect to dissuading attempts at changing the rules through military or economic coercion.

The JUMP program seeks to bring together those American service members, government employees, and their families that have served in Japan and would like to remain in contact with the Japanese culture, language and people, as well as stay informed about the U.S.-Japan Alliance.  It is a collaboration between Sasakawa USA, the National Association of Japan America Societies (NAJAS) and the Embassy of Japan in Washington, DC.
