Pregnancy Rights in the Workplace

Best Human Resources Policies and Procedures
Under the Strict New Illinois Law!

Wondering how the new Illinois law concerning additional protections for pregnant employees will affect your business? This teleseminar will answer many of your questions and provide examples of how to reasonably accommodate pregnant employees.

In 2015, the Illinois Human Rights Act was amended to create generous protections for pregnant employees. This new law was hailed by employees but puts serious legal burdens on Illinois employers and the specific ways that they must accommodate pregnant employees. This teleseminar will go over many examples of reasonable accommodations and what accommodations might impose an undue hardship on the employer. We will also explain what medical documentation can be requested from an employee. Employers who do not respond to pregnant employees in the right manner can cause major, expensive lawsuits!

This teleseminar, presented by experienced employment lawyers Nancy Joerg and Tony Caruso, will be presented in a fun, lively, interactive style, in plain English (no legalese!), right over your phone. No computers involved. All you need is a standard telephone. We also provide you valuable handouts.  Many everyday workplace examples will be given and, in one brief hour, you will really understand how to avoid a legal catastrophe under this strict new Illinois law.

You and your staff will learn all of this with no lost travel time or expense.
