It is time to stop trying to market to anyone with a warm pulse. In this session we’ll discuss the difference between typical, acceptable and ideal clients to help you narrow your target audience. Then we’ll show you how to build marketing programs to attract just the right prospects.

Step One: Separate typical, acceptable and ideal clients

  • Use your current customer list to identify characteristics of best prospects
  • Evaluate both psychographic and demographic profiles

Step Two: Narrow your target audience

  • Define and compare market segments
  • Determine who makes the buying decisions
  • Calculate average sale size

Step Three: Write a unique position statement

  • Describe your ideal customers pain points
  • Match your products to your customers needs
  • Develop a list of unique qualities

This session includes instruction and group discussions with other small business owners. I will also include hands-on practice as you fill out customer profiles and our position statement worksheet.
