Introduction to Entrepreneurship 

If you’re considering becoming a small business owner, you’ll want to attend this seminar to learn what it takes, what challenges and pitfalls you can expect, and what proven steps you can take to greatly increase your chance of success.  In this 2 hour seminar, you’ll explore how to test the feasibility of your idea to ensure it’s the RIGHT one.  You’ll find tips for researching the market and your competitors, securing needed funds, and projecting your business results.   Various legal business entities will be defined, and you’ll learn about resources that can help you with licenses, permits, and other registrations needed for your business.  And hopefully, you’ll leave confident that you’re well positioned to take those critical first steps toward entrepreneurship. 

Speaker Biography

Deborah Oronzio has a diverse background in business, training and education. Her most recent positions were Director of Entrepreneurship and Business Instructor at Wake Tech Community College. In these roles, she helped a diverse range of people start or grow their businesses. She also taught students the fundamentals of business including entrepreneurship, marketing, sales, management, and customer relations. Deb was certified in life and career coaching, and has opened her own business, Self-Empower Coaching to help mature professionals manage their career transitions effectively; this includes small business start-up.  Not only is Deb a SCORE volunteer, she also i son the board of the local chapter of the International Coaching Federation and is a volunteer Career Coach at Dress for Success.
