13th Annual Recovery Fine Arts Festival

Call for Entries

FOR-NY, in partnership with the New York State Office of Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Services (OASAS), is delighted to announce the 13th Annual NYS Recovery Fine Arts Festival Call For Entries.

All entries will be featured in a slideshow at the NYS Recovery Conference & Celebration, August 31st and September 1st in Troy, and displayed at the Empire State Plaza Concourse, September 3rd-30th in Albany. Awards, including the NYS OASAS Commissioner's Award, will be presented at the Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Providers Annual Conference in Saratoga during the weekend of October 16-19. (Exact date/time TBD.)

Entries will be judged on how well they reflect the theme of this year's National Recovery Month:

Please read the following instructions carefully prior to registering. We recommend printing this page so you can refer back to the instructions when preparing to submit your art.

All entries must be original works and postmarked or received at FOR-NY's Albany office no later than 5:00pm on Wednesday, July 20, 2016.

Completed Registration Forms, signed Consent Forms and a clear image of the art you're submitting must be included with each entry. To that end, be sure to print a copy of the completed Registration Form (or the Confirmation Email) to include with your entry when sending it to FOR-NY. Visual Art:

Mail your visual art work with the completed registration form, signed consent agreement and a clear image of your artwork to Friends of Recovery - New York. (Address appears below.) 

Poetry:

Submit your poem via email to Michelle@for-ny.org along with the completed registration page and consent agreement. Include the artist's last name and the words "Poetry Submission" as the subject line. Poems MUST be submitted electronically. Hard copies will not be considered.
