Whitley Penn's Scott Geye will provide an overview of current trends in information security, information security risks that are present in Mergers and Acquisitions, and steps that can be taken to assess and mitigate those risks.

Whitley Penn Risk Advisory Services Senior, Scott Geye has more than 10 years of information technology experience in support, network administration, and information security analyst roles. He has played a lead role in our SOC reporting and information security consulting practices, advising clients on control improvements to minimize client risk. Geye has experience advising clients on the implementation of information security controls to meet the requirements for PCI- DSS, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and Cloud Security Alliance Cloud Controls Matrix. In addition to security consulting, he has provided valuable guidance to clients on system evaluation and implementation. He is a member of the Dallas Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), North Texas Information Systems Security Association ISSA), North Texas Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), North Texas Infragard and the Metropolitan Technology Business Council (MTBC).

Important Parking Information

The entrance to the Hilton Park Cities Hotel parking garage is located on Luther Lane on the west side of the hotel on Luther Lane (5954 Luther Lane). Follow signs that say “Hilton Event Parking” and the parking garage gate will be open. You may park in any available spaces on the 5th floor, top deck of the garage. This is self-parking and there is no fee. You will then have to walk through the Hilton lobby to get to Luther Lane. Walk east on Luther Lane until you arrive at Douglas Avenue.  Take a left on Douglas and enter 8343 Douglas Avenue. (Please see map below). When you are departing from the parking garage, the gate will automatically open when you pull up, allowing you to leave.
