Larry Butcher

Larry has more than thirty years of pension experience consulting with employers on an array of retirement program issues, including funding valuations, retirement plan design, financial accounting, and plan terminations. He has experience dealing with clients from a wide range of industries, primarily with closely held businesses, tax exempt entities, church and professional organizations. His experience extends to the valuation of retirement plans including the calculation of minimum and maximum funding requirements and financial statement pension accounting under ASC 715 and ASC 960.

      

 

Tom Shaevsky    

Shareholder of Butzel Long, Adjunct Professor at Western Michigan Cooley Law School and graduate of The University of Michigan Law School, magna cum laude, Mr. Shaevsky has obtained extensive knowledge in a wide variety of services including: Employee Benefits, Executive & Equity Compensation, Fiduciary Compliance and Best Practices, and Qualified Retirement Plans. Mr. Shaevsky’s clients range from large multinational corporations, physicians and nonprofit employers, to individual’s on compliance and planning issues pertaining to retirement, pension and welfare. His experience includes counseling on fiduciary duty compliance, prohibited transaction avoidance and correction, to name a few. Mr. Shaevsky also represents clients undergoing IRS and U.S. Department of Labor audits.   


                   

 

Jason Welch

Partner of the broker/dealer, WWK Investments, and the Registered Investment Advisor, WWK Advisors, Mr. Welch has over 20 years of experience in the investment field. The two affiliated firms collectively manage over $400 million (as of 7/31/2016); Mr. Welch also functions as the firms’ Chief Compliance Officer. Graduating with honors from Michigan State University, he holds a B.A. Degree in Finance and carries the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies.
