NHSN Training Session 3: NHSN Set-up and Reporting - Oct. 20

Please join the Nursing Home Quality Care Collaborative group in the final phase of the 3-part webinar series of NHSN Training for reporting CDI infections. You may register for the Session 3 webinar on October 20, 2016, 1-2 p.m. PT / 2-3 p.m. MT by clicking on the “Register Now” link below.

In this session, we will review the following final tasks for setting up your facility in NHSN:

• Mapping Locations
• Reporting C. difficile infections
• Creating a Monthly Reporting Plan
• Adding users and assigning their rights / access

NOTE: Those who are responsible for registering the facility and completing the steps in this upcoming session, please make sure you have completed the Session 1 (SAMS Registration) and Session 2 (Facility Enrollment) steps before attending the Session 3 webinar.

Reminders:

• Nursing homes must be ready to submit October data by November 1, 2016.
• Start tracking your CDI infections in October so you can report them November 1–November 15.
• You must have all steps completed in order to be able to report in NHSN.
• Any added users must complete their SAMS registration and receive their grid card in order to be able to report.
