David Longfield-Smith, – SWFL Blue Zones Project® - SWFL Organization Lead, Retail Foods David Longfield-Smith, Organization Lead, Retail Foods, Blue Zones Project® – SWFL Blue Zones Project – SWFL David Longfield-Smith became the Organization Lead for Blue Zones Project® – Southwest Florida. In this role David helps individuals and organizations better understand the Project, and the many benefits of their participation in it. He works with organizations to achieve their chosen health and wellness improvement initiatives, earn recognition, and to collaborate with others in the community. David has considerable experience in team building, coaching, and public speaking. He is an Air Force veteran who has worked in sales and marketing positions with world-class companies such as Anheuser Busch, Bose Corporation, and Costco Wholesale. His work has taken him to 8 countries and 38 states within the US. He was a founding Board Member of Collier County Honor Flight, a charity that transports veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifice.

Dr. Sonia Rocha,  Tower Dental Arts. Dr. Sonia Rocha – Tower Dental Arts (owner and founder) Dr. Sonia Rocha graduated from New York University and had a private dental practice in New York City for six years before joining the United States Air Force where she attended Officer Training School graduating as a Captain. After serving in the Air Force, Dr. Rocha relocated to Southwest Florida to plant her roots and raise her family. Dr. Rocha gains her patients’ trust with a gentle and caring approach and is known for creating beautiful smiles. She opened Tower Dental Arts in Bonita Springs in 2006, Naples in 2013, and Fort Myers in 2014. Jon Bates,  Addicted to Fitness Jon Bates, Addicted To Fitness started his journey in the health and fitness business over 30 years ago working in clubs in the Northern Virginia and Washington DC area. He has always had a passion for helping people. After years of working out of clubs and homes in Naples, Jon realized his dream of opening up his own facility. In January 2012 he and his wife, Melissa Bates, opened Addicted To Fitness on Airport Road in Naples. It is a full service fitness boutique gym. In a time, when the big corporate gyms are opening up everywhere, he saw a niche for the baby boomers and beyond. A gym where they were much more than a number. Jon has become the expert in the field of keeping seniors active, healthy and fit. His view is radically different from most fitness professionals. He is known as the seniors’ secret weapon. He works with the best and brightest. His conversations are motivating and thought provoking. He is highly respected by his clients and peers as a true professional driven to make a difference in the lives of many. 

Emcee:  Sue Huff, owner of E. Sue Huff & Associates, Inc., a Marketing and Management Consulting firm that targets small to mid-sized businesses in Southwest Florida. Sue began her career in newspapers, then owned a chain of print shops in Cincinnati Ohio before later managing the Dept. of Printing for the City of Cincinnati -- as well as hosting a City TV Show. Her management background led to the development of her consulting business in 1996. Sue helps clients develop, administer and plan their marketing strategies, as well as, provide gap management services for those companies who find themselves with too few senior managers. Sue is an avid volunteer in the community, has been an on-air personality at several radio stations and is a regular emcee for the Above Board Chamber

Featured Non-Profit Tami Balavage with Help A Diabetic Child Foundation Meet our Featured Non-Profit Tami Balavage with Help A Diabetic Child Foundation. Help a Diabetic Child (HADC) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit public charity that was founded after Tami and Joe’s son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. T1D is an autoimmune disorder for which there is no cure and requires multiple daily blood glucose checks and administration of insulin to maintain life. HADC raises money to purchase these items for children and college students who are in financial distress. Since the Organization became active 3 years ago, it has purchased tens of thousands of blood glucose test strips, hundreds of test meters, and tens of thousands of units of insulin for these kids
