Healthy Child Development: Preventative Care Visits for Children and Adolescents - Nov 26, 2016 - Toronto

Program Description:

The Greig Health Record is an evidence-based preventive care tool to be used by primary care providers in preventive care visits for school-aged children since 2010. It contains a check-list tool and pages of supplementary resources and patient information handouts. The Greig Health Record has been updated with current recommendations and evidence for children and adolescents aged 6 to 17 years. This workshop will review current evidence and provide the participant with an easy approach to preventive care.

After active engagement in this program, participants will be better able to:

• Interpret current evidence-based preventive care recommendations for school-age children and adolescents.
• Utilize the Greig Health Record checklist, associated preventive care resources, screening tools and patient information for this population.
• Approach difficult issues including confidentiality, consent, and the reticent adolescent in practice.

FEE: $400.00 plus HST

This Group Learning Program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada for up to 8.0 Mainpro+ credits.

CANCELLATION POLICY
The OCFP reserves the right to cancel sessions due to unforeseen circumstances or insufficient advance registration. In the event of a cancellation made by the OCFP, a full refund will be given to the registrants. However, the OCFP cannot accept responsibility for out-of-pocket expenses due to cancellation of a session. Cancellations made more than 15 business days prior to the date of the event will be refunded, less a 25% administration fee. No refunds will be provided after this deadline.
