Meet our Panelists

  Brian Chapman, Jr. is a lifelong resident of Southwest Florida and one of three siblings in his family to graduate from Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). In 2009 Brian Founded State Insurance Agency, a Southwest Florida Insurance agency serving primarily from Marco to Sarasota with three locations. Brian has been pivotal in helping establish several Southwest Florida independent insurance agencies.  Brian is currently Chairmen of the Board of Trustees at Florida SouthWestern State College and lives in Whiskey Creek in Fort Myers.  He and his wife (Julie) are parents to their five beautiful children Cade(7), Ellie(5), Ty(4), Adlie(3), and Oaklie(1).

 Ellen Fox,  Owner of Fox Insurance Agency.  Ellen fox is the independent insurance agent that caters to the small business owner. Ellen's agency specializes in self funded group health plans and workers compensation and commercial property and casualty coverages. Ellen's personal interest in the insurance industry is to focus is keeping employees safe and well!

  Scott Gregory s a Vice President and Business Insurance Agent with BB&T Insurance in Fort Myers for the past 21 years. He is originally from Poughkeepsie, New York and is a graduate of Marist College and has a Master’s Degree from Webster University. After college, Scott served as a Captain in the Army for 9 years prior to relocating to Fort Myers. After his service Scott joined Oswald Trippe and Company Insurance in 1995, specializing in the commercial insurance needs of public and private businesses, condominium associations, and non-profit organizations throughout South Florida. Since 2004 Scott has served as the Southwest Florida Blue Chip Program Coordinator which has honored over 200 local businesses who overcame adversity to achieve success. Scott has served on numerous civic and charitable boards and is a graduate of Leadership Lee County. He lives in South Fort Myers with his wife Brenda and has 3 children attending Florida State.

 Emcee: Steve McQuilkin is the Storytelling Coach at The News-Press. In his position he helps all of the reporters, plus his own team, find, report and write stories with impact and relevance in Southwest Florida. He has twice served as the business editor and has also led the education team. He has also been executive metro editor, data editor and real estate editor.
