Join NAMI-NYS for a lovely evening as we work to create a brighter day for people and families touched by mental illness. This unique event taking place at Glennpeter Jewelers will allow attendees to learn more about the realities of mental illness as well as participate in a Chinese raffle (for a chance to win prizes from throughout the Capital Region), a silent auction and wine and dine all to benefit NAMI-NYS.
There will be complimentary food and all bar and raffle ticket proceeds will benefit NAMI-NYS.
NAMI-NYS is thrilled to welcome Dr. John Forsyth to present at the event.
Dr. Forsyth is a highly sought after teacher and trainer in the practical use of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness practices to alleviate human suffering, awaken the heart and spirit, and to cultivate living well. He is also a professor of psychology and director of the Anxiety Disorders Research Program at the University at Albany.
