Presenters
Will Norwood is the Business Development Manager for the City of Houston Office of Business Opportunity. Will is responsible for assisting small, minority, and women owned businesses in navigating through the procurement process of the City of Houston. In addition, he assists companies by providing business programs to help build their capacity and identifying additional public and private sector contract opportunities in the Greater Houston Area. His background includes finance, sales, marketing, and non-profit. A native of Houston, Will graduated from Morehouse College with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Major in Marketing and a Minor in Economics.
Alexander Sandoval, currently with METRO assists contractors and suppliers as it applies to government procurement for established businesses and professionals as they seek business opportunities. He has over sixteen years of financial, procurement and accounting experience. Alexander has worked for an international management consulting firm as a Project Manager/Senior Consultant. He has provided general business and supplier diversity assistance to agencies like U.S. Department of Commerce - Minority Business Development Agency, University of Texas M.D.Anderson Cancer Center, Texas Department of Transportation. Alexander holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah.
Pedro Garcia is Manager, Outreach Program with the Port of Houston and has many years of experience working with small business contractors. As one of the nation’s busiest ports, the Port of Houston generates nearly $7 billion in business activity annually. Enrolling in the Small Business Development Program at Port Houston opens a door and creates opportunities for your small business in a variety of ways. Pedro can certainly help you to work with the procurement and
contracting processes.
