A Community of Peers

SCORE NYC is launching a series of three successive, moderated roundtable sessions for women business owners and entrepreneurs only. These sessions will offer a supportive community of peers that enables women like you to:

• Share experiences and get direct and relevant advice from women who have been there, done that.
• Learn from each other in an interactive, supportive and collaborative small group format. Confidentiality is assured.
• Make new business connections and expand your circle of contacts.
• Increase your ability to solve problems and find answers with just one phone call.

Relevant Topics

Participants will help select topics for each of the three sessions. This will ensure that they are relevant to your challenges. Topics could include marketing, leadership and finance and will be presented by professionals with decades of experience in that area. They include:

• Brand Your Business and Make It More Valuable 
• Pricing Effectively
• Win With A Leadership Presence
• Real World Strategies for Managing Cash Effectively  
• Making Facebook Work For You

Moderated By Experienced Business Professionals

The roundtables will be moderated by SCORE mentors Diane Drey and Barbara Grumet. Diane was formerly CEO of a New York Metro bottled-water manufacturing and distributing company. Barbara is an expert in business plans, start-ups, education, and training, having held senior level positions at CUNY and several nonprofit organizations.

Convenient Time and Location

Sessions will be hosted at the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce offices next to the Brooklyn Marriott in Downtown Brooklyn (one block from the 2,3,4,5, A,C, F trains).  They meet from 9:00am-12:00pm, every 2nd Thursday of the month beginning in March. Future dates include May 11 and June 8. A light breakfast will be served before the start of each session.

Registration fee will be $59 for a single session, $150 for all three sessions.
