This networking event will tackle one of the most challenging areas in the food industry- production efficiencies. Join us for a specialty panel featuring Jean Kroll (I Love Sweets) and Dave Gonnella (Gonnella Baking Co.) as they discuss strategies for running a more streamlined production. Then connect & collaborate with fellow industry folks!

**Space is limited. To reserve a spot, please register online. Tickets will be $10 at the door**

Michael D. Lucchesi is a veteran in the field of bakery production with 36 years of experience at Gonnella Baking Company. Currently, he is the Vice President of manufacturing for all of Gonnella’s baking operations.  He has been a strong champion for streamlining the production processes through his comprehensive strategy of effective automation and enhanced communication links between different sections of the production line(s).  His successes in this area has made possible Gonnella’s recent explosive growth and created the solid foundation for advancements in the years to come.

Jean Kroll is the Owner of Sugar & Spice Extraordinary Sweet Treats, Inc. A commercial bakery featuring classic sweet treats: cookies, brownies, tarts and other delicious treats. Working in the foodservice segment to distributors, cafes and restaurants, airline and specialty retail as well as contract manufacturing services to artisan food companies.

Jason Weedon- Since 2009 I have been working on our new and ever evolving business, Gourmet Gorilla. This has been one of the most challenging and rewarding of projects that I have ever undertaken. I am hopeful that one day we can seamlessly link small local farms to the meals we serve in schools throughout the U.S. through the application of smart technology, good agriculture practices, and efficient distribution and production methods. Its a long road to walk but an important one.

This seminar is produced by The Hatchery, a collaboration between ICNC and Accion Chicago to bring education, capital, and support to the Chicagoland food entrepreneur community. Food entrepreneurship programming is funded in part by:
