“OMT And Pulmonary Disease”

  
Kenneth Steier, D.O.

Executive Dean: Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, New York

Biography:

Dr Steier is the Executive Dean of the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine which has campuses in Harlem and Middletown, both in New York. He was the Founding Dean of the Middletown campus, after serving as the Clinical Dean in Harlem for five years. Dr. Steier is residency and fellowship training in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine. He is board-certified in all three areas.

Dr. Steier completed a national Health Policy fellowship in 2003 and subsequently earned a Master’s in Health Administration Degree from AT Still University in Missouri. He subsequently earned a Master’s in Public Health Degree and Master’s in Geriatric Health Care Degree from the same university. A life-long student, Dr. Steier then completed a Master’s in Business Administration Degree at Hofstra University on Long Island.

Dr. Steier is a graduate of the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his undergraduate studies at the State University of Stony Brook.

Dr Steier also completed a four year National Health Corps scholarship program in Monroe, Louisiana, a very rural and underserved area.

Dr. Steier is an Accreditation Surveyor for the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation, a consultant for the Food and Drug Administration and the Health Resources Services Administration, and a Board member of the Office of Professional Medical Conduct of the New York State Medical Board.  

Dr Steier has published in numerous professional medical journals and is a frequent medical expert for local media outlets.
