Broadly speaking, yard art is defined as any man-made item placed within the landscape to enhance the aesthetic experience. Creative opportunities abound. You can buy yard art or you can make your own. Mary will ask the audience to participate with her in a fun examination of yard art. Her approach will offer lots of great information to help you to enhance your own garden.
Mary Evans is passionate about native plants and design. Mary's work experiences and community involvement are vast. One of Mary's jobs has been as a floral designer and wedding consultant for over 35 years. She was also the primary floral designer for the Tyler Texas Rose Parade for 4 years. Mary is well respected in the garden community of Arkansas. She has been a Master Gardener for 25 years as well as a garden instructor for the Arkansas Extended Learning Center for 20 years. One of her favorite projects is the annual Arkansas Flower & Garden Show. Over the last 26 years she has served on the board, various committees, as well as a judge. Mary started her own company, Garden Makeovers, in 2001. She specializes in design, installation, maintenance, construction, herbs, perennials, roses, containers, water, habitats, yard art, custom bottle trees and much more.
