South Mountain
Woodland Owners Workshop

Are you a landowner concerned about how the next generation will care for your woodlands? Need information on tax, legal, and health care implications of estate planning?  If so, please join us to hear speakers from Penn State University's Center for Private Forests, American Society of Foresters, and Central PA Conservancy address these questions for you.

This workshop will present some of the challenges of forest succession planning and opportunities to help you achieve that goal -- from starting the family discussion about the future of your forest, to reducing unintended consequences through estate conservation and financial planning, and ensuring the desired future of your forest.

The cost is $10 per person, includes workshop and dinner.

5:30-6:30 PM Welcome and Introductions, Workshop Part I

  • Jim Finley, Director, Center for Private Forests and Ibberson Chair of Resources Management,
    Penn State University
