foundationRegional Technical Assistance Trainings
Summer 2017

Hosted by CAPPA Member Agencies

CAPPA member agencies, with the support of CAPPA & Children's Foundation, are putting together a series of Technical Assistance (TA) trainings that will be coming to a region near you!

This series will be delivered in a format that is very participatory.
We encourage all participating to come with questions, as well as samples for each of the topics that will be discussed.

See agendas below for each location:

Networking & Learning Session:
This portion of the agenda will allow attendees to share their successful strategies, tools and ideas on the following:

  • How agencies complete their Program Self-Evaluation for CDE
  • Newly released MB 17-06 (Transfer from CalWORKs Stage 1 to Stage 2 child care services)
  • Importance of one-time voluntary transfer- where to download the forms, what is the process, when to let your field consultant and CAPPA know
  • During recertification, can the parent sign the CD9600 as part of the process before the need and eligibility for the recertification have been processed?
  • Custody cases and child care schedules – updating hours, family size, and income each time the child is with the secondary parent who is not the approved parent (for example, child switches back and forth between parents week to week – one parent has a child care case with the agency and the other does not).
