SCORE and Capital One Bank have partnered to provide a workshop designed to help small businesses not only survive but thrive in the current economy. You will have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with a SCORE certified mentor and representatives from banks and lenders to discuss your unique situation and network with other small businesses who are facing similar challenges.
Buying a Business
This workshop is designed to help entrepreneurs wishing to start or buy an existing business. The participants will also have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with a SCORE mentor to discuss your unique situation and network with other small businesses who are facing similar challenges. The participants will have a better understanding of the following:- Learn how to find and evaluate an existing business for sale, and the appropriate financing.
- Why is it for sale?
- Is it profitable and stable?
- Is money available for the investment?
- Can it support the owner and provide return on investment?
Panel Discussion
A bankers' panel will introduce the different services and programs available to small business owners and start-up entrepreneurs. They will answer questions and give business advice on how to avail these services and programs by their respective companies.

Jeff is President of Certified Appraisers, Inc. and manages the firm's multidiscipline appraisal practice that includes valuation of businesses, machinery & equipment and real estate. Jeff holds a Masters Degree from Pepperdine University and is licensed by the Texas Real Estate Commission and the Texas securities Commission.
