You're invited to join SCC's Project Advisory Committee (PAC) Meeting on June 23, 2017

We are pleased to present this quarter's topics and keynote speakers:  

WORDS THAT TRANSFORM THE PATIENT EXPERIENCE

Jill Golde, M.S., Partner & Senior Vice President at the Language of Caring, brings over 20 years of experience as a mission-driven consultant and trainer for a broad range of private and public sector organizations. Expert in organizational change and the patient experience, Jill is known for her genuine connection and caring, her sense of humor, her astute observation skills and her remarkable ability to share her perceptions in a constructive fashion. An engaging presenter, she weaves firsthand experience and mind-opening stories into her sessions. Jill has consulted many hospitals, health systems and medical practices, and trained thousands of healthcare staff in the skills that make the patient and family experience anxiety-reducing, heartwarming and healing.

STAYING AHEAD OF THE HCAHPS TRANSITION OF CARE

Joanne Lauten RN, BSN, SCRN, CPHQ, possess 35 years of professional nursing experience in a wide range of clinical, teaching and leadership positions.  Her career spans many diverse clinical settings in both acute and community healthcare settings, such as Emergency Departments, Case Management and Home Care. Currently, she is the Director of Nursing Quality and the Stroke Coordinator at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital.

COMMUNITY MEMBER HEALTH LITERACY EMPOWERMENT

As a Public Health corporate executive for Northwell Health, Nancy Copperman MS, RD, CDN, Assistant Vice President at Northwell Health, is responsible for the development of strategic community partnerships and compliance with state and federal community health regulations for 21 hospital facilities. She has expertise in project management relating to public health and clinical health care programs including program development, implementation and evaluation.

The Project Advisory Committee’s (PAC) mission is to promote collaboration and support the goals, strategies, and initiatives among the SCC partners with respect to improving the health status of Medicaid and uninsured communities in Suffolk County. 

We require partner organizations to send a managerial representative and workforce representative to the PAC meetings if they have 50+ employees (and if unionized, those workforce representatives must be union representatives). If your organization has fewer than 50 employees, please send at least one managerial representative.
