Summary

Program Purpose

To provide college and university administrators involved in investigating and adjudicating sexual misconduct cases information and resources necessary to conduct fair and balanced investigations that consider the potential impact of trauma, in line with evolving practices.

About NCCPS

In 2014, the National Center for Campus Public Safety (NCCPS) was charged in the Not Alone report to develop a training program on trauma-informed sexual assault investigation and adjudication that includes Title IX training for campus officials. To meet this mandate, we worked with nationally-recognized subject matter experts in the fields of sexual and gender-based violence investigations, Title IX, the Clery Act, due process, victim's advocacy, student conduct, and neurobiology to develop and deliver this groundbreaking curriculum.

Registration Information

Program registration is available to representatives from institutions of higher education and their local partners involved in the investigation and adjudication of reports of sexual and gender-based violence on campus. We encourage representation from your campus/community multi-disciplinary team. Registration is on a first come, first served basis.

Participation Requirements

Participants are required to attend all modules and be in attendance during the closing session on Friday to earn a certificate. Those participants not in attendance or missing more than 10% of the NCCPS Institute may not receive a certificate. Participants must be in attendance on Day 1 to participate in the remainder of the NCCPS Institute.

Registration Fees & Discounts

Standard registration - $1,295

Multiple Participation Discount - Register four people from your institution or organization and receive 50% off a fifth participant. For details, please contact events@nccpsafety.org. 

If you wish to pay by check, you must register by Friday September 1, 2017. After this date registering by check will no longer be an option for this NCCPS Institute. Registration and payment deadline is Friday, September 8, 2017.

*A note about the registration fee: the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) provided funding for the development and piloting of the curriculum, as well as a train-the-trainer course for instructors. Funding was not provided for delivery of the NCCPS Institute; therefore all deliveries are conducted on a cost recovery basis. Registration fees received are considered program income and are subject to federal regulations. Program income received from NCCPS Institute deliveries that exceeds the cost of the delivery is utilized for further program development. Program income not utilized during the NCCPS award period will be returned to BJA.

Refund & Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel registration for a NCCPS event, please refer to our cancellation policy. The NCCPS is federally funded, and as such, unable to utilize federal funds to purchase food or beverages. All meals are the responsibility of the participant. The NCCPS is not responsible for any expenses associated with attendance at this program, including travel and meals.
