Simple Steps for Starting Your Business 

This workshop is part of the five-part Simple STEPS for Starting Your Business series. This first module will introduce you to key business considerations such as the myths and realities of entrepreneurship, different business options to pursue, the components of business ownership, legal and financial considerations, and more.

Mrs. Beverly Anderson is a small business consultant, mentor and speaker.  She has operated her freelance bookkeeping service since 1996, which provides general bookkeeping and payroll services to small businesses. In 2008, she founded the Home-Based Business Chamber of Commerce where she serves as the national president. She volunteers as a small business mentor with SCORE. She also teaches in the English and Business departments as an adjunct instructor at the National College-Memphis.

Mrs. Anderson holds a bachelor's degree in English/Secondary Education and a master’s degree in Organizational Management specializing in Human Resources.
