Topic: Does a Move to Colo Mean It's Over for FMs?

Is there a role for Facilities Management in these decisions, and if so – what value do they bring to it? In this session, we will explore how the decision to go to colo does not mean it’s over for the FM. Description: We hear a lot of customers saying they don’t want to be in the data center business, but yet they still aren’t ready to give up ownership and control. For many, engaging a third-party for Managed Services can be an efficient and safe way to transition.  Managed Service Provider (MSP) can provide the right expertise when you need it so internal resources can continue to perform high value tasks. Using a MSP can also increase visibility into the data center without increasing head count or over taxing existing staff.  In this session, we will explore how to remove the burden of managing your data center, while managing your budget and minimizing risk. We’ll also visit the potential risks of allow a MSP into your facility and issues to lookout for.
