Those seriously involved in starting or expanding their own wholesale / retail business.

Overview

Our impressive panel of experts will explain the nuts and bolts of resale/wholesale and answer questions. Participants will leave this workshop with a better understanding of how to run a successful retail or wholesale business. Topics covered will include marketing strategy, sourcing/supply, distribution and e-commerce.

At the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Define your marketing strategy, including the unique proposition that drives your business and targeting your customer
  • Manage sourcing, store, inventory, marketing strategy,  supply chain and omni-channel distribution to your best advantage
  • Determine the best sources of funds for starting up or expanding your business
  • Describe threats to your business and what you are doing about them
  • Implement your online store by integrating it with your business strategy and selecting the appropriate platform

Fashion Industry experience:  40 +  years. Owner, incubator1, marketing vince gatto and brand building company targeting small to medium size fashion and fashion related businesses. Professor, Fashion Institute of Technology. Marketing, retailing, fashion buying and merchandising, manufacturing and creative presentations all geared to fashion and related fields. Stonehouse Clothing Co. Owner/operator 2 retail mens apparel stores, 5 years.

Founder and President of Message Medium, a digital marketing agency that helps new and reinvested brands to harness the power of the Internet and create a walker photo dynamic, interactive and profitable presence online. She has been creating websites and online marketing campaigns for more than 19 years. Maisha has worked on digital marketing campaigns with Mars Chocolate, Columbia University, Unilever, WJ Detusch (the owner of Yellow Tail wines), NBA player Kyle Lowry, Save the Children and more.
