Criteria for this Entrepreneurs Roundtable would be organizations with revenues exceeding $500,000 a year, with more employees and more complex scope of business. Audience for Solopreneurs group are businesses with 2 or fewer employees with revenues exceeding $75,000 a year.

Overview

Small business owners often feel alone because their organizations are small, or they are an office of one. Exchanging support, advice and shared experience with  peers in a variety of other businesses can be an invaluable tool.

After four successful years, based on participant feedback and our own observations, the SCORENYC Roundtable is introducing a new format to reflect the varying needs of small businesses in different stages of growth: two distinct Roundtable groups, or series. This Roundtable group will address the issues facing entrepreneurs with multiple locations or functions. The second Roundtable series will focus on smaller businesses, or solopreneurs.

Both Roundtable series offer participants the opportunity to learn from each other in an interactive and collaborative forum. Each business owner discusses his/her challenges and the group contributes observations and suggestions. It’s like having your own Advisory Board!

During each series, participants will start by stating their business goals, then report on their challenges, successes and progress during the series. They determine contents and topics for the Roundtable. Member-selected topics addressed by SCORE and other outside speakers have included:

  • Social media marketing
  • Sales
  • Leadership issues
  • Finance
  • Office productivity tools

Meetings for the next six sessions for both series occur Thursdays as noted above, from 9am to 12:00 Noon. Continental breakfast is included. Fall Series fee for all sessions is $399, with a discount for previous Roundtable participants.
