Most cyber threat reports reveal that small (and medium) businesses (SMBs) face unique challenges of adequate, affordable execution when it comes to cyber security. For example, around 60% of SMBs that have a data breach are out of business within six months, some sooner than that when their limited cash flow dries up.  Almost half of all cyber-attacks (43%) specifically target SMBs!

Most realize that any kind of disruption, natural or man-made – the loss of power for days from a hurricane or snow storm, or, increasingly in recent times, a cyber attack or computer crash – can interrupt operations and cash flow. This creates a critical need to avoid such a problem, when possible, and to get your business back up and running quickly.

Questions to ask yourself and your business team:

  • Do your systems have enough protection?
  • How would you know?
  • Where do you begin?

In this workshop you’ll get the knowledge and resources your business needs to lower its risk of a data breach.

ABS - IT Security

Presented by:  Mike Davis, Senior Manager for IT Security/Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for ABS

As an experienced cyber security professional, Mike has 20+ years in diverse leadership positions. He operationalizes Data Security, Privacy, & Risk Management capabilities while advising leadership on protecting critical information resources and managing an enterprise cyber security portfolio. As CISO, his mission includes executing a risk based security strategy that supports enabling the company’s success objectives by securing and protecting both sensitive company and client information.

Customers want more mobility, 24/7 access to their accounts. However, with such access we become more vulnerable. Our banker, Faizel Dakri the Chief Information Officer from Wallis State bank will outline the steps you can take to  keep the information secure.

Prior to joining the Bank, Mr. Dakri served as a Software Development Expert at Experian Healthcare, and as a Senior Consultant with Apple, Inc. Mr. Dakri graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science. He is a current member of both Infragard and the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center.
