 At this workshop you will:

  • Gain a clear understanding of why an SBA guaranteed loan is a great option; find low injection alternatives and down payment relief; plus learn creative ways to grow, expand and increase cash flow.
  • Learn how crowdfunding can help you fund growth, receive an overview of Kiva, and find out how to engage in this crowdfunding platform.
  • Grasp the ins and outs of how to market your crowdfunding campaign.
  • Become versed in secured and unsecured borrowing options for new and existing businesses, including the eligibility, application process and benefits to borrowing from alternative lending sources.

The presentations will be followed by a Q & A and panel discussion.

Presenters:

   Skip Soper is a long time former Naples Banker, having spent 34 years in the banking industry. He has had a succession of executive positions with NationsBank, Bank of America, SunTrust, and Royal Palm Bank of Florida. Since leaving the banking world, he has worked to educate individuals on identity theft, and delivers alternative lending products to individuals and small business owners.

 

  Dorothy Browning has spent the last 15 years assisting Entrepreneurs in starting and strengthening their businesses.  She has worked with the Kauffman Foundation and was the director of the Women’s Business Center in Kansas City.  She has experience working with micro-lending programs as well as crowdfunding platforms.

    Althea A. Harris has been helping and advocating on behalf of businesses for over 23 years when she started her federal career in 1993 at the U.S. Department of Commerce.  Althea will take the audience thru the SBA prcocess explaining in Layman's terms the what, where and how of getting a loan from the SBA.
