Angel Investing 101 - Preparing to Pitch

Would you like to find an Angel Investor? Would you know how to make your pitch to one? This seminar will introduce you to the basics of angel investing, who they are and what they are looking for. Learn how you can participate in the 2018 Venture Capital Pitch and possibly win an equity investment.

VenturePitch SWFL, hosted by Tamiami Angel Funds and sponsored by the Sun is coming to the area again in March 2018.  Entrepreneurs from Southwest Florida, including Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry, Lee and Sarasota counties, will have the opportunity to submit their business plans to compete as one of four presenting companies at 1Q2018 VenturePitch.  The date, location, eligibility criteria and details of the application process will be published in the near future.

The last VenturePitch SWFL, sponsored by the Sun Newspapers and Tamiami Angel Funds, was held in Punta Gorda in March 2017. Two businesses walked away from that event each with a commitment for a $25,000 equity investment made available by the Adrenaline Venture Fund and the potential for an additional investment.

Entrepreneurs interested in applying to make a pitch next March, are invited to attend this seminar to learn more about the opportunity. The three-part seminar, sponsored by Port Charlotte SCORE, will cover angel investors in general and what they look for, the tentative criteria and schedule for 1Q2018 VenturePitch and the typical equity investment deal structure used by angel investors.

Following this seminar, sign up for SCORE coaches who can guide you through the process
