Katie Shorey works for People's United Bank where she focuses on community development. In this role she manages internal and external events, and cultivates relationships with organizations and individuals in Maine. She also serves as a liaison for the People’s United Community Foundation which provides grants to local nonprofits. Prior to joining the bank, Katie served as Program Manager for Clifton Consulting LLC where she created professional development trainings and management leadership tools for clients. She was formerly a Program Associate for the Partnership for Public Service, supporting the Excellence in Government Fellows Program within the Center for Government Leadership. Her previous internships include the office of U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), EMILY’s List, and Running Start.
Katie currently resides in Portland, Maine and is active in economic development initiatives to help foster innovation and entrepreneurship. She serves on the organizing board of Maine House of Genius and chairs the fundraising committee for Maine Startup and Create Week. She also serves at a facilitator for Elect Her, a program that trains college women to run for student government and leadership positions.
Before returning to her home state of Maine, Katie lived in Washington, DC and San Francisco, CA. She earned a B.A. in Government from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY. She is a proud alumna of WeLead - a bipartisan leadership training program run by AU’s Women & Politics Institute, Running Start’s Star Fellowship Program, FemEx, and Fryeburg Academy.
Jamieson Webking is a web developer, working for an internet marketing firm in Portland. He is experienced in crowdfunding, marketing, and market research, and is actively involved in Maine's growing startup ecosystem through Maine Startup and Create Week and SCORE.
