Managing Your Business "By the Numbers"

Research and PlanningThis workshop helps the attendee determine how well their business is performing by looking at and analyzing their financial statements.  Many businesses have bookkeeping, and even accounting functions, but don't understand what the numbers are telling them.

Through the use of ratio analysis, benchmarking, process improvement strategies, and real-time dashboard financial reporting, the business owner can make business decisions based on data, not by gut feeling or out of fear, producing real cost reductions thereby improving operation profits.

This is an advanced workshop which is best utilized if the attendee is currently managing their business finances or has attended the following workshop:

               - Setting up your Financial System -- Bookkeeping, Compliance, and Analysis

               - Understanding Basic Financial Statements

Join us for this content-rich workshop, which will provide the business owner the tools to manage by real-time business data "insight" instead of the yearly accounting "hindsight."

Presented by: Tim McDermott

Tim has spent 20+ years working in high technology engineering environments which provided him a close up view into how products are conceived, engineered, manufactured, and delivered to the customer to meet a marketing demand.  It also provided a process improvement foundation on which to build experience to eliminate cost and improve customer satisfaction.  He also utilized those skills in his 16+ years as a business owner in equipment distribution and car wash businesses, delivering profitability and high quality products and services.

As a Business Consultant and a small business owner, Tim has helped large corporations as well as his own businesses become more profitable by understanding what the financial statements say about the health of the enterprise and then identifing and eliminating costly business process waste.
