2018 Tactical Rifle Phase I - Aug 25
Course Summary:
This is an introductory class for those who have purchased an AR or AK platform but have no official hands-on training for operating this type of firearm safely and effectively. You will leave with a thorough working knowledge of your system and its capabilities.

None.
Course Length/Hours:
1 Day - 9:00am-5:00pm
Topics Covered:
- Disassembly / assembly and nomenclature
- Proper techniques for zeroing your sights (iron or optic)
- Loading and unloading procedures
- Shooting positions: standing, kneeling, prone
- Shooting drills that will get you quickly on target
- Cleaning and maintenance
Gear Requirements:
- Reliable magazine-fed carbine (.223,5.56, 7.62, etc)
- 4 reliable magazines
- Sling (make sure it is installed and supports the rifle)
- Iron sights or optics (and tools necessary to adjust them)
- Eye and ELECTRONIC ear protection
- Ammo: 400rds
- Weather appropriate clothing and a billed hat
- Shooting mat in case the ground is wet
- Lunch / snacks and water
Classroom & Range Information:
- Dedicated class building.
- Portable toilet on site.
- Use Google Maps to GPS.
Course Cost:
$150 per person.
