2018 Tactical Rifle Phase II - Aug 26
Course Summary:
This course is geared toward the person with a good working knowledge of the AR/M4 platform. You will leave this class being able to run your carbine in a confident and proficient manner, and understand the capabilities of this platform. You will be expected to have a zeroed rifle when you arrive.
Prerequisites:
Tactical Rifle Phase I highly recommended.
Course Length/Hours:
1 Day - 9:00am-5:00pm
Topics Covered:
- Loading, reloading, malfunctions
- Shooting positions - supported / unsupported
- Multiple target engagement
- Efficient and safe movement with your rifle
- Working around barricades
- Transitioning from rifle to pistol when needed
Gear Requirements:
- Reliable magazine-fed carbine (.223,5.56, 7.62, etc)
- 4 reliable magazines
- Sling (make sure it is installed and supports the rifle)
- Method of carrying pistol / rifle magazines (chest rig or belt attachments)
- Iron sights or optics (and tools necessary to adjust them)
- Eye and ELECTRONIC ear protection
- Ammo: 400 rds rifle, 125 rds pistol
- Weather appropriate clothing and a billed hat
- Shooting mat in case the ground is wet
- Lunch / snacks and water
Classroom & Range Information:
- Dedicated class building.
- Portable toilet on site.
- Use Google Maps to GPS.
Course Cost:
$150 per person.
