On behalf of the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), we are pleased to invite you to the 2018 National Meeting of the Body Worn Camera Policy and Implementation Program (BWC-PIP). CNA’s Training and Technical Assistance team is happy to facilitate this event.
This meeting is primarily intended for the designated FY 2017 BWC Policy Implementation Program (PIP) grant agencies. Attendance is required as part of your grant activities. Attendees should include points of contact from the funded sites, as well as their key partners in local project implementation (e.g., police executive and command staff, technology and IT representatives, researchers, police agency project 'champions', and important partners such as prosecutors). Previous year BWC-PIP grantees are also welcome to attend.
This meeting will provide participants with an opportunity to discuss new and emerging issues regarding body worn cameras as well as review site progress, accomplishments, common challenges and forward looking strategies. BJA staff will be on hand to provide guidance on procurement processes, grant adjustment protocols, and performance measurement tracking. Most importantly this meeting is an opportunity to network with other FY 2017 BWC PIP sites and help facilitate development of successful BWC programs.
