How to Plan, Shoot and Edit Your Own Videos

Who should attend?
Those who have an online presence, a small business, or are solopreneurs and want to utilize video to attract, engage and convert new customers

Overview

Sometimes we aren’t aware that we already possess the very tools we need to market a small business. Home-grown video is such a resource.  This workshop teaches you how to successfully integrate video into your overall marketing strategy. It shows you how to attract, engage convert and monetize customers using professional video content, based on tools you already have, in the most cost and time-effective way possible.

The workshop covers the 5 steps in the video marketing process: (1) strategy; (2) storytelling; (3) shooting; (4) editing; and (5) distribution. Checklists and handouts will help you remember and use what you learned in class.

At the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

  • Define video marketing strategy and the video style that works for you
  • Describe what kind of content works for you to produce yourself and how/where to find content for your videos
  • Outline how to shoot a “talking head” video, what to look for in shooting a background video and how to edit a video on your smart phone
  • List factors to consider in choosing the right hosting service
  • Discuss how to upload videos, and ensure videos get optimal exposure on YouTube
  • Select appropriate resources from a list of cool and free/low-cost video marketing resources
